Recent investigations and victims who have come forward have shown that inmates at juvenile detention facilities in Illinois were subject to sexual abuse and sexual assault by staff and other inmates. Victims of sexual abuse at Illinois juvenile detention centers are now coming forward and filing lawsuits against the state and the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice.
